Ritora

About Ritora

Ritora is a speaking practice app. You can work on diction, prepare an introduction, build an argument and try answering without preparation. Trainers, learning materials and courses are brought together in one place.

For conversations that matter to you

Introducing yourself to new colleagues, explaining an idea in a meeting, answering an unexpected question or preparing a talk — each gives you a reason to practise. Ritora is for adults who want to make time for speaking practice and try new techniques aloud.

What you can practise

Ritora has eight speaking trainers. Choose a task you would like to start with:

The website offers 30-second examples and self-assessment. The demo does not record your voice or score your speech automatically. In the app, tasks and feedback vary by trainer; automated feedback can be wrong.

From a short exercise to a full topic

Short practice makes room for one specific task: reading a phrase, shaping an answer or retelling a text. This format is often called microlearning. Try a task aloud, notice what you would like to change and repeat it when it suits you.

Courses offer a sequence of lessons and tasks. The Materials section lets you explore individual topics and podcasts. An exercise, a course and a podcast serve different purposes: choose what you need right now.
